Carrie provides leadership to the counseling and clinical services of SC3 Partners. In 1994, she began working as a youth program assistant, providing counseling to teens, parents, and families. Since that time, she has worked as a violence prevention educator in the college setting, been a lead therapist in a behavioral health partial hospitalization program and adolescent residential unit, and clinician for SC3 Partners. This wide range of experience—along with her quick, intuitive ability—results in practical insights and real-world solutions for her clients in both counseling and coaching situations.

Carrie holds master’s degrees in both Professional Counseling and School Counseling, as well as a bachelor’s degree in Psychology. She is a licensed counselor with years of experience counseling individuals, couples, families, and children. Her caring-yet-direct approach has helped individuals overcome issues such as anxiety, anger, depression, trauma, stress management, work-life balance, and grief. She has helped couples overcome serious relationship issues, including infidelity, co-dependency, parenting challenges, unhealthy patterns, and family history.  She specializes in helping teenagers find hope, especially those engaged in self-harm practices (cutting, suicide, etc.). Because of her training and experience, she is also very effective in counseling children faced with the divorce of their parents, school challenges, and adoption issues.

In addition, Carrie is an experienced presenter and facilitator. She is a licensed school counselor, with 5 years of experience teaching in the public school setting. Her style is warm yet direct, allowing her to infuse humor and practical insights into each session while keeping the group on track.

Carrie has used this variety of skills and experience to serve many clients including Cedar Springs Behavioral Hospital, Pikes Peak Community College, University of Colorado-Colorado Springs, Compassion International, Colorado Springs Utilities, the Association of Christian Schools International, and various Colorado Springs area public school districts.
